In these frames of my fruit portraiture art, I was so inspired by the fruits that we eat regularly and the tale of Persephone. I wanted to insert some tropical Asian elements into a situation inspired somewhat by the Rococco light panning through the cloudy day.
This first frame illustrates the calmness of the first bites of summer.
We then move on to the second frame, more chaotic and evidence of an aftermath are much clearer, as if Persephone had a delicate rebellion breaking from the ground of summer.
Then, Persephone drank the nectar and indulged in summer's warmth, reclaiming the injustice trampled onto her.
